Happy Spring to you all.
Just a quick hello from Perrin, Shane and Mia. We hope Spring has come to you and brought a wave of refreshing energy. Here in South Berwick Maine we are still waiting for the feet of snow in our yard to melt. (The house we bought last June appears to be on a parcel of shady land even compared to our neighbors) Have to love the one crocus that is fighting to appear despite the conditions here. Mia is now two and just so much fun. As of just last week she is swimming on her own (well with a bubble). Mia and I go to the YMCA at least once a week. She loves to paint, play with bugs and Bunk our kitty. Most days she stays home with Shane, while I head off to work. They enjoy adventures to the local children's museum, to the library and to the hardware store. Two days a week she goes to "Mary's house" and plays with "kidz". Daycare has been wonderful as it gives Shane a chance to do more art and to pick up odd jobs and she loves the non-stop activities. (Thanks again Mom) Next entry I'll include some of his work to showcase.
As for me I am still the Education Director at the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. Can't believe its going on 7 years. The projects on my plate are fabulous....helping to design an exhibit to accompany the 32 ft whale skeleton that will be hung from our ceiling in June....teaching teacher training workshops.....evaluating pre-K outdoor programs....mentoring college environmental education interns....collaborating with state and local orgainizations.... There's never a dull moment in my day and I guess when push comes to shove I like it that way. Of course the state of the economy is hitting quite close to home at this small non-profit whiich is a challenge, but hopefully spring will infuse some new life into everything. Looking foward to hearing the random ramblings from everyone's lives. - Perrin. ( If you want to see more endearing pictures of Mia you can find them at ameliaperrinadventures.blogspot.com.-E)
