HOLA From Argentina!

Juan and I are doing well in San Nicolas, Argentina. If you look on a map we are south of Rosario and North of Buenos Aires.

Juan is busy with school, playing soccer (futbol) and studying (kind of). While Juan is at school I spend my time at the hogar volunteering. I sit in the computer room and help the kids with find programs, games and setting up email addresses. Needless to say the internet speed here is extremely slow. It takes patience on everyone's part. I also help the kids who are taking English classes. I am finding that because I am spending more time at the hogar, children are warming up to me more and we are communicating better. They understand what I am TRYING to say in Spanish. My Spanish is not where I would like it to be, but I do try to learn new words everyday. I am also teaching a few more students at one of the many English schools here in town. So I am staying busy, and I am still in the house when Juan is home.

Carey will be visiting May 10 -23. We both are looking forward to the visit. We will be celebrating our 4th Anniversary on the 14th! This year has been challenging for us both and very rewarding. The most difficult is being apart, but we are making it work. Our plan is that after Juan graduates in Dec. we will apply for a student visa and he will come to the States with me in Jan, hopefully for a year or so. That is the plan as of TODAY.

We are very blessed to have Juan in our life. He is truly a great kid. Very loving and protective over me. I just want us to be all together, as he needs Carey´s guidance too.
