An update from Martha (nee Burke) Lipner. My husband Jim and I are living in Montclair, NJ with our son Jake (four and three quarters), foster son Eli (fifteen months) and cat Capsy (seven). We moved here from NYC in 2006 and really enjoy this diverse and fun community.
We love our house, backyard and natural light. We often drive (30 minutes) into Manhattan on weekends and see Holly and Tom.
Jake is enjoying a wonderful preschool, has a vivid imagination, enjoys Transformers and the T.V. shows Ben 10 and Backyardigans. He has developed quite a sense of humor. Exuberant Eli has recently started walking and after one month of practice is quite proficient. Climbing one year olds are simultaneously funny and scary. We've had Eli since he was 9 days old and we're hoping to adopt him after his family court case is resolved. This process could take another 5 to 13 months. Jim works in the Wall Street area and commutes daily by train and ferry. I try to keep things relatively sane around here and love family life.
