Wedding Bells and BBQs in CO

Wedding Bells and Feedstore BBQs are steaming things up in Steamboat this month! Sandy and her partner will celebrate on April 18th the grand opening of their new business enterprise with a Colorado style barn dance and barbecue. The Historic Yampa Valley Feed and Grain Store has a new lease on life and with Sandy's talents and enthusiasm the business which includes a tack shop should be a great success and at the very least Karyn will be the best outfitted girl on the Santa Fe Trail. Here are some photos of Sandy during her recent "reining in" clinique but I doubt there will be much reining of the Messing family in the years ahead. We all wish Sandy great success!

Now about the Wedding Bells! Paolo is hitched! This just came in from Charles -

Subject: You won't believe this .... Yesterday (April 14th) around 3:30 Paolo asked us to meet him with Natalia at Tequila's (Main St. watering hole) because they both got off early... but first he said he had to pass by the court house to get a new title for his now paid off truck. So we parked at Tequila's and followed him to the court house - Natalia was to meet us along the way. At the top of the court house stairs was a beautifully dressed Natalia. Paolo dropped to his knees and proposed - slipping a diamond on her finger as she said yes. Then, to our total surprise, we followed them into the clerk's office - not for the new title - but for a marriage license followed by "a wedding". That's right: it's now Mr. & Mrs. Paolo Guidi!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, back at Tequila's a dozen of their friends had assembled. I drove them over (exactly 1 block away ... but did take them around the block for a scenic tour of the court house grounds). To say that the next few hours at Tequila's was lively is an understatement; Mom and I left early to prepare the "wedding feast" - (Tom and Marci were joining us). Quite an evening.
..... and at 6:30 this morning they both left for work.
Honeymoon will be a long weekend in Las Vegas early next month.
We have many pics in Natalia's camera (mine, of course is in NJ). Presumably, we'll get them into a computer for sharing before too long.
So that's the news from SS.
